Wall Sawing 101 is taught by experts with real-world experience, enabling students to have both time in the classroom and time on the slab. The course is geared to both newly hired operators and anyone wishing to expand their knowledge of wall sawing basics. Students will gain proficiency and productivity in wall sawing as well as hand sawing, ring sawing and chain sawing. Students will have access to the most up-to-date equipment available.

Who Should Attend?

  • Newly hired operators as well as anyone interested in expanding their knowledge of wall sawing basics.

Course Content

  • Basic introduction of types of wall saws, hand saws, chain saws and ring saws including their applications and components
  • Blade and diamond chain selection
  • How diamonds work with each type of saw
  • Classroom and hands-on training regarding set-up, operation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
  • Safe work practices

Course Prerequsite

All students must complete the CSDA online training course "Cutting Edge" prior to taking this class.  This course provides a strong foundation in sawing and drilling operations and industry fundamentals.  You can find the class here: CSDA Cutting Edge Training

Course Registration

CSDA Members - $785.00
Non-Members - $1,290.00

Fee covers two days of instruction, from 8 AM – 5 PM, all classroom materials, handbooks and a CSDA operator’s field kit that includes a CSDA Safety Handbook, Pocket Reference Guide, blade speed calculator, ruler, diamond card and 10x magnifier. The fee also includes daily continental breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. Students are responsible for their own lodging, transportation and evening meals.

Each participant is advised to bring the following items: safety glasses, ear protection, hard hat, rain gear, steel toed work boots and a tape measure along with paper and pencil.
