The Foundations of Slab Sawing
Slab Sawing 101 is an introductory but comprehensive training course with classroom and hands-on instruction covering slab sawing.
The course is geared towards new operators who want to gain proficiency and productivity in this major cutting discipline.
Who Should Attend?
New operators or those with minimal experience who want to learn the proper techniques from the industry experts.
- Basic introduction of types of slab saws and applications and components
- Blade selection
- How diamonds work and what to do when they don’t work
- Classroom and hands-on training regarding set-up, operation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance

CSDA Members $785
Fee covers two days of instruction, from 8 AM – 5 PM, all classroom materials, handbooks and a CSDA operator’s field kit that includes a CSDA Safety Handbook, Pocket Reference Guide, blade speed calculator, ruler, calculator and 10x magnifier. The fee also includes daily continental breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. Students are responsible for their own lodging, transportation and evening meals.
Each participant is advised to bring the following items: safety glasses, ear protection, hard hat, rain gear, steel toed work boots and a tape measure.
