Saddle-Up for an Exciting 2014 Convention Program
Share |
St. Petersburg, FL – The Concrete Sawing and Drilling Association (CSDA) is pleased to announce its 42nd annual convention. The CSDA 2014 Convention & Tech Fair will be held in Tucson, Arizona, at the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa on March 11-15. To provide cutting, polishing and imaging professionals from around the world with an exciting convention program, CSDA has put a seasoned keynote speaker in the saddle who can help steer businesses to new horizons.

In-demand keynote speaker David Levin will discuss “the question behind the question” and give business owners the tools they need to increase personal accountability throughout their companies. Levin’s presentation is based on his million-selling book QBQ! The Question Behind the Question, in which he uses language-based techniques to turn negative questions associated with whining, blaming others or entitlement thinking, into positive questions that will breed better workplace attitudes and encourage everyone to be accountable for their actions and decisions.

The 2014 convention will also feature in-depth technical presentations and informative business sessions led by experienced contractors and well-established manufacturers. Presentations will include guidance for small businesses preparing for the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, provide insight into the use of underwater cutting techniques and discuss the development of universal standards for the concrete polishing industry. In addition, a Tech Fair is scheduled for manufacturers to meet one-on-one with customers and showcase their new products and technologies in an more intimate setting than a traditional trade show.

Convention attendees will also have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the all that this desert oasis offers. The third annual CSDA Manufacturers’ Night will consist of a visit to the Pima Air & Space Museum, where CSDA Past President Tom Stowell will be honored with the CSDA Lifetime Achievement Award. Attendees can also build relationships during optional activities like the Colossal Cave tour, a desert horseback trail ride or while taking on the 4-wheel Jeep rally challenge.

The CSDA Annual Convention is attended by owners and managers of concrete cutting, polishing and imaging companies as well as representatives from manufacturers and distributors who support the industry with products and services.
