St. Petersburg, FL – World of Concrete was the perfect venue to showcase some of the most innovative and successful projects completed by CSDA members in the past year.
On Wednesday, January 22, 2014, the association hosted the first Concrete OpeningsAwards Ceremony in the Las Vegas Convention Center. World of Concrete attendees and members of the industry media joined CSDA to celebrate with the winning contractors. They are:
Company Name Category
ABC Concrete Cutting, Inc.–South Florida / Industrial Renovation
Cutting Edge Services Corporation
Constructions Solutions, LLC Infrastructure Renovation
Miller’s Pro-Cut Roads, Bridges & Airports
MMG Industrial Building Construction
The Concrete Openings Awards Program has been created to showcase the best job stories covered in CSDA’s official magazine each year and recognize the contractors who did the work. Sixteen job stories were split into four categories and put before a panel of judges. The panel scored each job based on its pre-planning, use of innovation, degree of difficulty and quality requirements. The project with the highest score in each category was declared the winner. Displays featuring details and images from the four winning projects will be on show during the awards ceremony and for the remainder of the exhibition.
“World of Concrete brings together the best the concrete industry has to offer, so it is a fitting place for an awards ceremony that highlights the ‘cream of the crop’ of cutting, polishing and imaging jobs,” says CSDA Executive Director Patrick O’Brien. “Our members are specialists in their field who recommend the best techniques and equipment for a particular job and perform the work. The innovation and problem-solving skills displayed by theseConcrete Openings Award winners are deserving of recognition at an international event like World of Concrete.”
