Course Content: This classroom course educates attendees on the fundamentals of diamond cutting in the sawing and drilling industry. Instruction will cover diamond tool technology—how tools cut and why they don’t—the value of safe work habits and proper equipment maintenance. The course also covers cutting principles, systems and proper techniques for disciplines including core drilling, slab sawing, hand sawing, wall sawing and wire sawing with scheduled outdoor demonstrations. The course is suitable for operators, estimators, customer service representatives, sales representatives, architects, engineers, general contractors and government officials involved in diamond cutting. Completion of this course qualifies as a prerequisite for participation in the CSDA’s advanced Operator Certification Program.
